Today I had some amazing tacos at 7 Mares Restaurant with Christine and Cameron. When we were on the way to Scoops for some ice cream, Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s Louisiana Fairytale (with Yim Yames) came on; I’m in love.

Interestingly enough, the song was originally called “Woo” but a slightly amped up version with ‘boosted’ bass was made with “Woo Boost” written on the disk. People assumed that was the name and it stuck.

Rusko is amazing live and SO energetic! Great dubstep tune too.

When 6h057 posted a Borgore track, I about geeked out and had to go searching for some more. Two weekends ago, I saw Hudson Mohawke perform at Webster Hall (quite possibly one of the shittiest venues in nyc) BUT Hudmo was ON! At one point he played Borgore’s “Act Like A Ho” and the place erupted!

This video (just the song really) is a recent discovery of his remix of Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead”…. and it’s crazy good!

After reading this article on Moombahton, I became extremely fascinated with the style and hope I get to see someone like Dave Nada do a set. We’ll see if the style actually holds up on the dancefloor but I really want to see it in action…
