Yeasayer - “Ambling Alp”

This is the first single from Yeasayer’s new album “Odd Blood”. Over the last several months, I have been returning to Yeasayer’s “All Hour Cymbals” a lot. With repeated listenings, this album comes alive with intricate, beautiful vocal harmonies and delicate melodies that float in and out. This new song brings the vocals to the forefront of the song, rather than the background - which was the only downside of “All Hour Cymbals”. Brillant! If you can’t tell, I’m excited for the new album!
